Single Area Valve Service Unit

The Single Area Valve Service Unit is
designed to provide the means to
locally isolate any facility’s
medical gas pipeline system area.
Installed as a flush or surface-mounted
& easily accessible, isolation is done
quickly & reliably in case of emergency
or for periodic maintenance.
Including non-interchangeable
gas-specific NIST connectors fitted
upstream & downstream of the valve
for pressure testing or as a bypass.

Area Valve Service Units are available
in pipeline sizes from 22mm up to 42mm.
Manufactured & fully complied
in accordance with the NFPA99,
EN ISO 7396-1 & HTM02-01 requirements.

      spaces and multiple AVSU's to be mounted
      one on top of each other utilizing
      its small dimensions.

      providing a clear view of the gas identification & valve state.
      Maintenance & commissioning - Equipped with two
      non-interchangeable, gas-specific NIST connectors
      used during commission & other gas pressure testing
      Integrated pressure gauge & electronic pressure sensors.
■  Installation:
      Can be installed as a flush or surface mounted
      Stub extensions ensure no disruption
      of pipework during installation.

■  AVSU unit shall be of Silbermann’s series.
■  Material:
      ■  Box - powder-coated galvanized steel
      ■  Valve - Brass
■  The window shall be marked with the following:
       “IN EMERGENCY BREAK GLASS AND CLOSE VALVE”
■  Copper stubs shall be fully degreased for oxygen use
■  All pipe stub extensions shall be supplied with
      suitable plugs or caps to prevent contamination
      of the assembly prior to installation.
■  Valves shall be available with separate replaceable ball valves,
      a device for physical separation, and NIST body.
■  Valves shall be supplied with a medical gas identification label
