Area & Main Alarm Panel

Silbermann’s Area and Main Alarm Panel digitally and graphically monitors and displays local and remote medical gas system information on a 12″ LCD touchscreen.

The panel displays 1–6 local gas/gauge alarms as well as 1–16 dry-contact alarm inputs from gas supply equipment, such as manifold systems.

It detects real-time issues in gas flow and pressure, alerting staff whenever values deviate from the required parameters.

These alarm panels are typically installed at nurse stations, especially in critical care areas such as ICUs, operating rooms, and emergency departments. By combining local area medical gas alarms with alarms from the manifold system, the panel gives nursing staff a broader view of the medical gas system status.

This allows staff to recognize not only local pressure related conditions, but also upstream supply problems that may affect their department. Early awareness helps the clinical team prepare accordingly and promptly notify the appropriate technical or maintenance personnel when attention is required.

It provides a full overview of the medical gas system without the need for separate area and main alarm panels, enabling clinical staff to respond appropriately and quickly

It is cost-effective, as one panel can replace two separate units.

Maintenance is made easier by centralizing the monitoring and tracking of issues.

For local gas information, the system indicates whether the pressure is above or below the required level.

The main alarm panel can display, for example, the status of a manifold system, showing whether the left cylinder has started supplying gas when the pressure in the right cylinder drops.

These panels use advanced encryption and authentication technologies to protect displayed and transmitted data against unauthorized access and malicious attacks.

They provide four levels of operation and protection, each secured by passwords that are not disclosed to the customer. This enables clear separation between different user groups, including medical staff, gas technicians, distributors, and manufacturer-level personnel authorized to make configuration changes.

Silberman’s area and main alarm panels comply with NFPA99, EN ISO 7396-1 & HTM02-01 requirements.

Its special communication protocol, the TCP/IP Modbus, allows for remote viewing through remote computers, mobile devices, and building management systems.
