Bridge for Intensive Care Units

The Silbermann Bridge for Intensive Care Units is a ceiling-mounted system built around a horizontal bridge that spans the patient area. This structure creates an organized overhead workspace where medical services, equipment, and accessories can be arranged along the bed rather than concentrated at a single point.

The ICU Bridge offers several practical advantages:

• Allows medical services and equipment to be positioned at different locations along the bridge
• Supports a flexible and organized clinical workspace
• Helps maintain clear access around the patient bed
• Keeps equipment and accessories supported above the patient area, allowing hospital staff to approach the patient more easily from different directions. This is especially important during examinations, routine care, patient transfers, and emergency procedures.

Silbermann’s ICU Bridge can be configured with medical gas outlets, electrical sockets, equipotential grounding points, nurse call systems, and communication connections.

An integrated light can be installed in the center of the bridge to provide ambient illumination and create a more comfortable environment for the patient.

Depending on the project requirements, the bridge can also support a wide range of accessories, including medical pendants, monitor arms, IV poles, equipment rails for mounting additional devices, LED reading lights, and shelves.

A ceiling-mounted marLED® E3 examination light can be installed independently of the ICU Bridge, with an articulated arm that allows flexible positioning over the patient.

The ICU Bridge meets the applicable requirements of NFPA 99, EN ISO 11197, and EN ISO 7396-1. It is CE marked and manufactured under Silbermann’s ISO 9001:2015 and EN ISO 13485:2016 certified Quality Management System. Medical gas outlets can be installed according to the connection standard required in the country or region of installation, including ENV, DIN, British Standard, DISS, AGA, Puritan Bennett, and Sil-Ohio.
